Stephen Sanders is an building designer, who also does planning, design and architectural drafting and rendering for residential and commercial properties, which includes renovations, remodeling, build-outs and new construction. Steve acts as an independent planning and feasibility consultant in the conceptual stage. During the preliminary consultation, he does the initial layout, elevation and site drawings which are reviewed and possibly modified by the client. With these preliminary drawings, the client could get an approximate idea of construction costs. Up to this point, the consultation fee is billed at a reasonable hourly rate. When the client is satisfied with the preliminary drawings, they are then ready to go to the completion stage. From here, working drawings are made, then signed and sealed by the affiliate architect and engineers in order to get a building permit. Stephen meets with these professionals to get a complete cost proposal for the above. Stephen has done preliminary planning and architectural drafting for projects of all sizes from a small addition through planning and designing a day care center in Boynton Beach, a new church in Port St. Lucie, a private school in Plantation,a mixed retail/residential/commercial project in port St. Lucie, and several office build outs.
He received his Bachelor Degree in Commerce and Business Administration from Sir George Williams University in Montreal, Canada in 1974. In 2000, he received a Specialized Associates Degree in Architectural Drafting and Technology from New England Institute of Technology in West Palm Beach. Thereafter, Steve worked for different architects in Boca Raton, Florida, before breaking out on his own. He lives in Boca Raton and has done work from South Miami, north to Port St. Lucie.
Stephen is also active in his community. He has been a volunteer at Family Promise, a non-profit organization that shelters homeless families. He has also been a dog walker at Tri-County Humane Society for nineteen years and is an active member of his synagogue as President of the Men's Club.
